The Church and the Four Legged Duck
Researchers gave a woman suffering semantic dementia- a form of dementia which causes people to confuse categories of things- a picture of a duck and asked her to copy it. The woman, who had been a talented artist, produced a good quality reproduction. They took the picture away and talked about other things for a while. After a few minutes they asked her to draw the picture from memory.
The result was amazing ...

Christians and Politics
From Gordon Moyes:
Last Monday evening, Beverley and negotiated the floods and power outages to get into downtown Newcastle for a CDP dinner and meeting. Over thirty others attended, many going through difficulties to be present. Congratulations to the CDP branch for what was a great night.
During the evening one potentially good candidate said to me, “I don’t know how you stand it! I couldn’t stand being in Parliament, all that mudslinging and abuse.” ...

SPIRITUAL HANDCUFFS- LANNA PERRY
My Church, I am sending forth a warning to each of you today. The enemy has seen the great victories and steps forward that many of you are making and I am calling you to continue to move forward in that which I have already spoken unto you.
My Church, the enemy has come to many of you and in many various ways he has placed handcuffs upon your wrists to stop you from doing the work that I have indeed called you too. The enemy has come along and found the crick in your armour and has placed handcuffs upon you.
Those of you who have these handcuffs placed upon you have felt the bondage and sting of his attack, you have felt the oppression with which he has come against you with. He has chained you and you feel there is nowhere to turn. ...

"GET READY TO BE TAKEN OVER BY THE SUPERNATURAL, MIRACLE-WORKING POWER OF GOD!"
Many believers will engage in power confrontations, demonstrations, and manifestations similar to what Elijah experienced on Mount Carmel. The Church will be growing in the supernatural, miracle-working power of God. Even children will be working miracles!
Healings will increase. Miracles of provision will increase. Supernatural deliverances will increase. Closed doors of opportunity will suddenly open. Miracles of household salvations will be made manifest and prodigals will return. ...

However, we’re also reminded that we operate in an environment of spiritual terrorism: “… We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one” (1 John 5:19). Thus, we must recognize and commit ourselves to train and be ready for battle, and even more so, in these last days, for unconventional spiritual warfare. Whether you are a marine fighting in the streets of Baghdad, a parent living in a sleepy suburb, or even the President of the United States, you must assume your position as a mighty spiritual warrior similar to that of an ancient soldier defending an empire (see Ephesians 6:10–18). ...
