What an afternoon. I decided to skip the almost-daily walk this afternoon to spend an hour in the garden instead. Changing into my gardening clothes seemed to signal to the entire town that I was now available for undivided attention! Two hours later I actually did manage to fit in half an hour of interrupted gardening. As the great philosopher said "You get that."

Someone said a few weeks ago that Rex rarely appears in the photos. So, to correct that situation, here is the official portrait of Rex. She seemed to take the event very seriously!
