Busy Start!
It was inevitable I suppose. The one day, we sleep in, enjoying a school holidays late start, and what happens? A knock at the door, of course, and three ladies on our doorstep!
Normally I'm in my office by 9 am, occasionally alittle after. Rarely do we get any visitors, customers or parishioners until later in the morning.
And so this morning we have two ladies from Culcairn (which must be 1000 km away) who apprently visited alst year when I was in India, and who are on their way through to Toowoomba. They brought a stroller that someone was going to throw away. With them was a local lady who brought a recent pram along with the high-end baby accessories. "I've done babies," she told me as I gratefully took possession of her cast offs!
Several cups of coffee later, we have seen our visitors off and Margaret has started her favourite activity- renovating the pram and stroller for resale.
As I said to Margaret, this pram ministry now has a life of its own and we couldn't stop doing it even if we watned to!
Later today we have to get ready for an overnight visit from Robert and Kellie Holmes and their family... about 10 all up. They are on their way to the Gold Coast. It's always a joy to have the Holmes' stay with us, so we are looking forward to it
