Coals to Newcastle

From the ABC:

Greenpeace defends Pasha protest

Greenpeace has defended its use of lasers to project anti-climate change slogans onto the hull of the stranded Pasha Bulker last night.

Slogans such as 'Coal causes climate change chaos' and 'This is what climate change looks like' appeared in red on the side of the ship, which is expected to be refloated on the high tide tonight.

Greenpeace chief executive Steve Shellhorn says the protest was warranted.

"The fact that there's a coal carrier on the beach of Newcastle I think is highly ironic given that scientists tell us that storm surges of the type that we saw earlier this month are something that we can expect more of as a result of climate change," he said.

Minor detail: storm surges have always been with us and always will.

Everything that happens these days is a sign of "climate change" according to these fanatics.

The wild weather of the last few months is just a return to historical norms as anyone over 30 years of age will tell you.
