Feeling good?

Do you ever get a good feeling from achieving something that has eluded you for a long time?

Perhaps it's mastering a new chord on a guitar, a new dance technique, a new skill of any sort.

I had that experience this afternoon when I FINALLY solved a computer problem that has bugged me for a while. I won't go into the technical details but basically it involves printing reports from the accounting program I use. After a couple of months of frustration compounded by the fact that I have previously solved this exact same problem, I stumbled across a solution that worked.

Boy did I feel good!

It's been said that one reason why God allows us to experience suffering in this life is that joy is meaningless without sadness.

The problems in life teach us new skills, new abilities and new talents which we may not have known we had.

Suffering produces in us compassion for the plight of others.

But what is even better is that God walks with us in our suffering. He isn't distant or unmoved by our pain. He is right there with us and if we look to Him, we can know His peace.

Blessings

Keith
