As I walked further around the lake, a huge cloud hovered over the mountains, and in the setting sun, it actually looked like the whole mountain range was wreathed in smoke from dozens of bushfires. It looked quite awesome, but was totally non-photographable (in the sense that a photo would fail to do it justice)!
