The "Al Gore Effect" Strikes Again

Right now we inhabitants of the Murray-Darling Basin are facing the threats of the most widespread floods in 50 years thanks to the never-ending drought caused by climate change (yes the IPCC claimed that the MDB would face greatly reduced rain due to climate change). While the Government tries to work out how to "return water" to the environment, the environment is producing more than enough for all of us.

It has been noted for some time that wherever Al Gore turns up to spruik global warming, it is always unseasonably cold. This really disrupted the Copenhagen climate talks last year when record cold temperatures and heavy snow made it hard for politicians to concentrate on coming up with a treaty to stop the warming.

So the roadshow has to continue and the best way to avoid a repetition of the humiliation of Copenhagen is to hold the next conference in Mexico. The resort city of Cancun has hotels bordering the spectacular beaches, made all the more spectacular by clearing and reclaiming the mangroves which is causing all sorts of environmental issues. A bit ironic the "save the planet" circus being held in an environmental disaaster like that, but the booze is good and the views fine.

So in Mexico, not likely to be much snow in December and the Al Gore should be safely circumvented.

No. They are setting new record low temperatures:

Apparently the previous record low for December in Cancun is 53 deg. The IPCC is Gored again!

Another inconvenient truth for the IPCC and the climate change gravy train.
