And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good news that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ He identified you as His own by giving you the Holy Spirit whom He promised long ago.
Observation
God's grace is truly amazing. He loved us from before the world began. He decided to adopt us into His family through Christ.
God's plan is that at the right time He will bring everything in creation under the authority of Christ. First the Jews and then the Gentiles.
The Holt Spirit is God's guarantee that we belong to Him and will receive the inheritance of grace.
Application
It is a wonderful thing to contemplate that God loves me so much that He chose me before the beginning of time.
My value as a person does not rest on what I do or how much I own. My value is the price put on me by God Himself- the price of His own Son.
When we understand this there is no need for low self-esteem of feeling sorry for myself,
God loves me!
