You are included among the Gentiles who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ.
Observation
Paul is a slave of Jesus Christ, chosen by God to preach the Good News which was promised long ago by the prophets.
The resurrection shows that Jesus is the Son of God. Through Christ Paul has been called and authorised to tell the Gentiles everywhere about what God has done.
Application
From the beginning of time, it was always God's intention to redeem all people. Jesus was not God's Plan B when things turned out badly.
God always knew that we would need a saviour.
Our society Is motivated by fear. The dominant ideology is that everything is random, even the beginning of life. The only protection is to control as much of your life as possible.
When we understand that right from the beginning God purposed our lives, then we can truly receive His gift of “grace and peace.”
Prayer
Father, before any people existed, you knew that we would need a saviour. Thank you for sending Jesus into the world to pay the price for our sins. Amen.
