The lake is just magnificent at the moment. It's full and with the cooler weather it is a really nice place to be- and all the water birds are in full agreement.
On any day you can see several families of ducks, egrets, ibis, pelicans or swans.

The baby ducks with their mum is so sweet! I've never seen an egret out on a thin limb like that so high in the tree - very interesting shot!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realise it but in the second last shot there is a peewee sharing the branch with the egret, so there is a large white bird with a small black bird. An accidental study in contrasts!
