So there's good CO2 and bad CO2

So even if you were to believe that CO2 is causing dangerous climate change which will lead to the human population plummeting from 9 billion to 1/2 billion in 2050, surely you would have to believe that CO2 is neutral about where it comes from.

But this item reported by Andrew Bolt just shows the total superstitious, non-rational nature of the climate scare:

Scientists have found camels to be the third-highest carbon-emitting animal per head on the planet, behind only cattle and buffalo. Culling the one million feral camels that currently roam the outback would be equivalent to taking 300,000 cars off the road in terms of the reduction to the country’s greenhouse gases.

But Climate Change Minister Penny Wong told The Australian there was little point doing anything about Australia’s feral camels as only the CO2 of the domesticated variety is counted under the Kyoto Protocol. That equates to only a small number of the beasts, the sort found lugging tourists around Cable Beach in Broome and at Monarto Zoo, southeast of Adelaide.

They’re all mad, of course. But to explain: it’s the connection with evil humans that make domesticated camels count as planet-wreckers, so guard your pets well from the warmists.

  1. With so many lies, misinterpretations, and downright silly statements, it's hard to take it seriously.

  2. The latest one is on my next post which relates to the area where I live in the Murray-Darling Basin. Parts of this area have been in drought for up to 10 years. The IPCC has proudly portrayed this as directly attributable to climate change, but the latest studies are saying this isn't true. The politicians won't notice that though.
