Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly await the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Observation
Paul is writing to the church at Corinth.
The church is the people called by God who both calls us to be holy and also makes us holy.
God has enriched the church in Corinth in every way- with eloquent words and knowledge as well as spiritual gifts.
For this reason, Paul knows that God will keep the church strong and blameless.
Application
Paul is clear that it is God who calls the church into being and God who will keep it strong.
We often think of our own walk with God as something we do. This is only half the story. God called us to be saved, God equips s to live for Him and God will keep us form to the end.
This is not an excuse for spiritual complacency. We still have to take the initiative to keep following Jesus. As we look to God and seek to put His will first, He will give us every good gift to make that possible.
Prayer
Thank you Lord for the gift of the Holy Spirit. The kingdom is not about rules and laws but about walking in your grace. Amen.
