My sins were weights
sandbags to my soul
How could I dance
or even walk
under such a burden?
You brought a yoke
I thought “a joke”
I said “No thanks”
and kept my load
So you waited
Until the weights
were too much
I dragged them to you
I confessed my sins
and “snip” you cut them free
Dance! I can leap!
I can almost fly!
What joy forgiveness brings
And that yoke is light
No more sandbag sins
I will dance with you always.
It's a wonderful feeling, isn't it!
