Scripture
The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. God is faithful. He will not let you the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted He will show you a way out so that you can endure.
Observation
The people of Israel experienced many miracles in the wilderness. Yet they sinned in many ways, rebelling against the God who had miraculously brought them out of Egypt and who miraculously provided for their needs for forty years.
Paul warns us to stand firm and not yield to temptation. God is stronger than temptation and He will show us the way through.
Application
God allows us to be tempted to strengthen our faith in Him. The trick to overcoming temptation is to fix our eyes on Jesus not on the thing that is alluring us.
Look to God for the way out that He provides and rejoice in His favour.
Prayer
Thank you Lord for the assurance that my testings are not unique. In fact you allow everyone to be tempted in order to deepen our faith in you. Help me Lord to keep my eyes on you and give me grace to spot the exit door when I am tempted. Amen.
