The river is up, following flooding at Tamworth and Gunnedah. The experts are predicting it will peak here below minor flood level sometime in the next day or so. I went for a bit of a look this morning and was surprised at how fast it is flowing. The birds certainly seem very happy with the state of affairs- they were singing and tweeting away as if it were some remote forest. It was very peaceful I thought.
Very cute frog!!! Great shots!
ReplyDeleteLuckily that doesn't happen too often here! I think we made the amazing discovery years ago that if people stick a banana in their ear it will keep crocodiles away from Narrabri. It's been very effective as we haven't had a croc attack since then :lol:You may enjoy the photo of a camel-drawn shark posted elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteYes, great photos - it's amazing how well the frog shot turned out, given the conditions at the time. Unfortunately you haven't captured our favourite part of the river business...when a crocodile floats by :)
