How "Progressive" Thinking Keeps The Poor In Their Place

With the Gillard Government increasingly centralising our education system, we are already starting to see the first signs of dumbing down of the education system. Thankfully the NSW Board of Studies has been taking the lead in resisting the moves to low attainment standards in the national curriculum.

But we already have signs "every child wins a prize" thinking in our HSC and increasingly irrelevant School Certificate.

In this video a British teacher, formerly a marxist, talks about the damage that left wing thinking does in the education system and how, in trying to help the poor and racial minorities, the system actually keeps them down.

After giving this talk at the British Conservative Party conference, her local school board suspended her but the board was pressured by the teachers' union to reinstate her.
