Today

I'm sitting at Grandma's place, watching John Howard concede defeat in the election.

I took some photos this evening but then discovered that I had left behind the lead to connect the camera to my laptop. :(

Tomorrow we go to Sydney. There we will collect some of Susannah's possessions from her accommodation at Concord. After that we will head over to the Northern Beaches to see Phil's end of year performance.

It was great to see rain all the way down. It was showering at home this morning when I was handing out How to Vote tickets for the Christian Democratic Party. As we drove to Newcastle this afternoon there were showers all the way, quite heavy at times. It is wonderful to see how green the country is.

It will seem odd being away from home on Sunday. I'm sure that Margaret will do an excellent job conductng the worship service.

Well that's all for now.

Blessings

Keith

  1. So happy to hear you finally got some rain. We haven't had any for quite awhile now, so maybe it all blew over to you! :)

  2. The last couple of months have been back to average rainfall here which is nice. It came too late for most farmers growing wheat and barley, but there is now hope for a summer crop. There is a theory that we get big rain events from the Bay of Bengal- usually about 6 weeks later. Following the big cyclone in Bangaldesh a couple of weeks ago, we should be in for some flooding rain about Christmas. We really need that kind of rain to replenish the dams and aquifers. We'll see what happens!
