Reflection on Psalm 50:1-6

We are the people of God
Drawn from every nation,
every tribe,
every people
From east to west
north and south
God calls us
Jesus redeems us
Holy Spirit transforms us.

We are the people
who have passed through the fire-
judgement, purging
refining renewing-
through to forgiveness

God calls us
from His Holy Place
the place of perfection
His light draws us
to stand before Him

Praise the Lord
my brothers and sisters
Let shouts of joy
ring across the earth
and proclaim
Jesus is Lord
