Reflection on Psalm 25:1-10
Here is my heart Lord-
take it.
I desire to walk in your ways,
obeying your laws,
worshipping you,
loving my neighbours.
I consider how great you are
and how small I am
I think of your holiness
and the sins that break your heart
I'm sorry Lord
for all the times I've failed you
The greed of my eyes
the list of my flesh
the drive to control others.
Please forgive me
for the sins of my youth
the folly of my present
the falls of the future
I want to know you
with all of my life
My deeds
my words
my thoughts
So Lord change me
Let your grace
soak into every pore of my skin
filling my soul
pervading my heart
Here is my heart Lord-
take it.

Amen.
ReplyDelete"and the sins that break your heart" That's the part that makes me feel so bad - when we do things that breaks His heart.
ReplyDeleteBut even so, God never gives up on us- that's the Good News!
