Just to fill you in on our activities on the weekend.
Saturday we had pretty much to ourselves. Mark took me to Future Shop to buy the computer. The staff there were very friendly. After buying the computer, for an additional fee they customise it and make sure there are no defects. we had to return to collect it in the afternoon.
Saturday evening we participated in worship at The Ripple Center, which is Ken Gill's church. I was feeling a bit stressed by the problems we've had communicating with home, but as the worship started the Lord showed me that in Narrabri it was 10 am Sunday and we were worshipping simultaneously!
I was asked to share how being a son to a spiritual father has helped me as a pastor. I was surprised to find myself crying as I shared. After church we went out for dinner at 9.30 pm returning home after midnight. That has been a feature of our time here- big dinners at restaurants nearly every night. That has been a problem for me because while I love the food and the fellowship, I get home and it's 2 or 3 o'clock before I can get to sleep. Tonight when we were invited again (after a fabulous lunch at an Italian restaurant) we declined and decided to just eat snacks then go to bed early.
I have been blown away by the generosity of the pastors here. We get meal after meal at really nice restaurants and they always pick up the tab.
Today, John Alley preached at Calvary Four Square Church morning and night. We were there as backup and to help with prayer ministry after the night service. At the night service John preached about generational blessing and invited people to come forward to receive prayer and the Father's blessing. Most of the church came forward, and I got to speak into a few people's lives. In many cases as I started to pray I would find myself weeping as the Holy Spirit directed my words. It was extremely powerful.
So tomorrow, Monday, we start a four day school of apostolic ministry for pastors and leaders. There are no night sessions planned, but doubtless there will be fellowship at the local eateries.
Way cool. Go God!
