Apostolic Ministry School Day 1

Today was the first day of the School of Apostolic Ministry. It was a good day. John Alley, along with David Hood, shared the basics about apostles, father/son relationships. It was pretty easy going because the people here already live this stuff and our role is to give new insights and help them move deeper.

People have come from all over Canada to be here. It is really amazing. There is a hunger amongst church leaders for the reality of relational christianity to be matured and to replace the institutional forms we have known for so long.

Here are some photos from today and yesterday. In this post I'm just going to cover some general stuff about Calgary and the School. In my next post I want to show you some of the awesome people we are meeting.

Yesterday while we waited for our lift, some squirrels were running around the grounds. These are black in colour. There are no squirrels of any colour in Australia so they are a novelty for us.

Apostle Ken Gill and his wife Cheryl are hosting the school.

Part of the procedure is to honour special people.. which ends up being everybody. Here, pastors' wives were presented with a book and then prayed for as a group.

  1. You met a real live squirrel! One day I would like to meet a squirrel.

  2. Best way to do that would be to go to Canada or UK. There are lots of squirrels hopping round here.

  3. We used to have several squirrels in Ontario that we fed regularly. If I was late putting out the scraps from the kids toast, they would stand on the window sill looking in the window, and move their heads back and forth to see what was holding us up!
