Today we transitioned from Apostolic School to Spirit of Sonship Conference. The School was just for leaders, but the conference is open to everyone.
The conference is in a different part of the city. The Retreat Centre where we were staying was fully booked out for a retreat, so we had to move out this morning.Michael and I are staying with Kenn and Cheryl Gill who would have to be two of the most loving, generous people in Canada, if not the world. It is a real honour to be staying in their house.
Today I had the most precious touch from God. Unfortunately becasue of the lateness of the hour- it's 12.45 am as I write this- I will have to leave the details until later. If I can't get this done tomorrow (it will be full on again with another day of conference) then certainly I will write it up on Sunday.
For now let me just say that I am totally blown away by what God is doing for us here.
Another example of the awesome power of God!!Keith, I have a question for you that has been on my mind for many years. I know the Lord's prayer is a model of how we are to pray, but I wonder about the order in which things are listed. Why do we ask for things before asking for forgiveness? I would have thought we should confess our sins and ask forgiveness first so that we could approach God with a clean heart before asking fo things. I'm sure it's no accident that it's done this way. what do you think?
ReplyDeleteI think that we shouldn't get too hung up about the order we pray things.I think that perhaps the order is that it starts with God's glory, his Kingdom, and then moves towards us, our needs and finally the biggest need of all our forgiveness.
