Reflection on Ephesians 3:1-12

Scripture
God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets.

Observation
God revealed his plans- the mysteries of the gospel- to Paul and to the other apostles. The secret of God's plan is this- Jews and Gentiles who believe the good news share equally in the riches available to God's children. There is no difference between Jews and Gentiles. What is important is that we receive Christ.

God's purpose is to display his wisdom to the spiritual rulers and authorities. The church is a revelation to the angels and demons.

Application
It is very easy, in the living out of our daily lives, to get caught up in the mundane details and to lose sight of the big picture.

You and I are a part of an awesome demonstration of God's wisdom to the spiritual rulers of this age. Demons look at us and marvel. Angels are awestruck at God's wisdom revealed through us.

It might seem that we are insignificant, living out lives of little importance. But to satan's hordes we are symbols or living proof of God's grace.

Prayer
Help me Lord to remember how precious I am to you and to see that I am a living proof of your great grace. Amen.
