Scripture
“Anyone who believes in me and is baptised will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe in me will be condemned.”
Observation
Can it really be true?
Has Jesus really conquered death?
Could that man who was so badly beaten, pierced, tortured- could He really be alive and well?
Mark highlights the unbelief, the struggle to hear and receive the message. As the message spreads it seems to good to be true.
Our salvation depends on believing- believing deeply enough to want to go and tell others, enough to heal others and to speak in tongues.
Application
Life is a struggle between faith and unbelief. The world tends to dull our ability to see the unseen.
I need to constantly be turning my eyes back to heaven- reading the word, praying and worshipping. But I also need to turn my eyes outward, looking for those who are ready to receive the Good News about Jesus, looking for those who need healing or a miracle.
Prayer
Help me Lord to walk in obedience to you. Father I believe- help me when my faith falters. May I always live in the power of the resurrection. Amen.
Awesome words!
