US Debt "Causes" Global Warming

The graph below shows a plot of US Total Private + Public debt as a proportion of GDP from 1870 to 2010 (black line) with the mean average US temeprature superimposed in red. There seems to be a remarkable correlation... certainly a better fit than for the CO2 concentration so hated by climate alarmists.



Of course, correlation does not necessarily imply causation. That is, just because they seem to run in line much of the time does not mean that one causes the other. But it does show just how poor the link is between CO2 and climate.
