Reflection on Psalm 131

Lord I'm just ordinary
I can't figure you out
Your ways in the world
You allow injustice
But then overturn it
Violent rulers rise and fall.
It's all too big for me.

Instead my God
I'll trust in you
And believe
You know what you're doing.
Like a weaned child
No longer crying for milk
I will rest in your lap
Teach me to trust
O God my Redeemer.
