CO2 is not a pollutant

  1. Do you remember back in (I think the 80's) it became popular to talk to your houseplans? People swore that it made the plants grow better and I heard it explained that it was the CO2 from the person's breath that was the big factor in helping the plant growth.

  2. I think you meant house plants, not plans. Although it wouldn't surprise me if people talked to their house plans :)You're probably right about the CO2 in the breath helping them along.This just shows how resilient our planet is. The plants respond to increased CO2 by increasing their growth and absorbing more of it. The rocks and the oceans do the same thing, so in the long term the system returns to something closer to its "normal" level.In chemistry and biology it's called dynamic equilibrium. In the media it's called "We are all doomed!"

  3. You are so right! (your last line especially)I'm having a lot of problems with this silly low-pro keyboard. 'Think' almost always comes out 'Thibk' I try to spell check but miss quite a few. Time to practice my typing...asdf asdf jkl; jkl;......
