''It's been a long time since I've laughed out loud in a supermarket,'' writes Craig Sheppard, of Bilgola, ''but this morning's visit to Woolworths at Mona Vale forced a laugh out. Above the freezer section is a sign about four metres by one metre. It says 'Good News for the Environment' in large type. Curious, I read on. 'This sign is made from 100% recycled material.' That's it. There is no purpose for the sign, other than to announce what a good sign it is. Good news to be sure, but would it not be better to not have made the sign in the first place?''
