One of the great discoveries I've made in recent months is Christian Audio. They have a great range of Christian books in audio format at quite reasonable prices to download.
Each month they also select one of their products as a free download, which is really nice.
I downloaded Dietrich Bonhoeffer's "The Cost of Discipleship" a couple of months ago. I listen to a section each week in between the other regular podcasts I get. What I have found is that, unlike any other audio resource I've ever used, it just instantly moves me into prayer. I don't know what it is, but there is clearly some kind of anointing on the book still six decade later.
Anyway, Christian Audio is a great resource for people who like to listen to books when travelling for example. You can find them at the link above or on facebook.
I used to get audio books from the library when I had a long drive every day to work and it was a wonderful way to pass the time. With such a long drive, I never had time to read anyway, so it was a perfect solution. I'll try Christian Audio here at home. I also used to download your sermons and listen while I was on the lawn tractor, but alas, I have lost my little ipod.
ReplyDeleteOh no! I have a phone which is good for listening to pod casts on. I usually take it for a walk each afternoon- except when I've forgotten to recharge it.
