"Watts Up With That" reports on the mathematical and procedural gymnastics the IPCC went through to justify their "climate change is accelerating" mantra.
It's a bit complicated but the gist is this:
1. The IPCC authors produced a graph of "global mean temperature " with lines of best fit over 25, 50 100 years. Because the most recent time scales leave out earlier cooling periods comparing these "trnd lines" make sit appear that the rate of warming over the last 25 years is faster than the previous 150. (You can do the same with any non-linear graph by choosing your time period carefully!)
2. But it was peer reviewed by other scientists- the great mantra of climate change alarmists. No it wasn't. The IPCC, bombarded with Freedom of Information request, has now put the drafts of the reports on line. It turns out that the graph was only inserted AFTER the review process. Astonishing!
3. People who have submitted comments that the "trend lines" should be omitted because they are misleading have had their comments deleted.
If we weren't being hoodwinked into wasting trillions of dollars on carbon reduction schemes, this would be a joke.
This is just terrible. Someone, somewhere is making a fortune on this!
ReplyDeleteThe Climate research institutes, the renewable energy people and others are already getting trillions of dollars in government and corporate funding.Whenever you hear the phrase "emissions trading" ask who is doing the trading in the carbon credits? The answer is the big multinational banks. They are already making billions every year but if a global scheme comes in it will be trillions... oh and the Russian Mafia are the other big winners with phoney greenhouse reduction schemes.
