I often wondered what all the fuss was with Michael Jackson. I thought "Ben" was cute but was never into him at all.

He always seemed creepy to me, long before the child molestation charges.

I never really understood why he imploded. The article below from the ABC offers some clues.

See, there's the problem. No human being is meant to be idolised or worshipped. It's bad for the person doing the worshipping and even worse for the object of worship.

Yes I know they are using the words metaphorically, but they are factually true for many people. Worship is about what you choose to centre your affections around, and if that happens to be Michael Jackson then he is your idol.

There are warnings here for those who idolise, adore and worship their pastor or other christian minister. Please don't do that. It will ultimately place intolerable pressure oin them which will destroy them.

Honour yes. Respect yes. Love YES
