Reflection on Psalm 104:24-34

The oceans proclaim your glory Lord!
The whales and dolphins sing your praise.
They joyfully frolic in the deep oceans
and visit the shores to share their joy.

The coral reefs testify to your power.
Yearly these tiny creatures build their home
until even the storms and cyclones are
powerless to destroy them.

Thank you Lord for the fish-
the clownfish and the angelfish,
the butterflyfish and seahorses.
You paint them in bright colours
and plant them on the reef.

The waves speak of your great power
crashing on the beach and rocks.
The wind in distant places
whips them into a fury
and sends them outwards.

Ships sail
surfers swish
fishers catch.

And you Lord, you hold all of this together
Not a single wave runs that you don't know.
Every fish- from the damselfish to the biggest shark-
gets its life from you.

Lord never let me cease to praise your name.
Your works fill me with awe.
I am honoured that you call me your child.
Holy are you Lord.
