This afternoon I took the trailer around to the back of the house and just marvelled at the way the light was shining on the creek and all the life there. I took a few photos but wasn't terribly happy with most of them. I got a shock when at one stage I was really focussed on what was happening in the creek and something came running at me through the reeds and grass, disappearing up the stormwater drain next to me. I didn't see what it was, just a vague impression of something black- it had legs so it wasn't a snake :)
