The photos aren't quite as well focussed as I would like-- I would really love a 10 megapixel SLR instead of the 4 MP pocket camera I've got. It supposedly does close-up shots but they didn't turn out as sharp as I hoped :(
The bush with the purple flowers really caught my attention this morning. The fourth photo catches the colour best I think. I was just wandering around in the wilderness part of my garden, spraying the burrs which have sprung up since last week's rain and a flash of colour caught my eye.
The grass flowers too are remarkable. We tend to ignore these in favour of the brighter colours of other plants, but there is a complexity and fineness to these flowers that is quite special.
