I've just been listening to Todd Bentley, a top prophetic speaker talking about a vision that he had.
I won't go into too many details but I was particularly struck by some things he said at the end of the talk.
He was talking about Moses who had perhaps the closest relationship with God of anyone in history. Moses was hungry for the presence of God in his life.
Bentley makes this point. God promises Moses to send an angel ahead of them to clear the way and make miraculous things happen for the people of Israel. This is like the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Many people think this is pretty good- healings, prophecy, words of knowledge, miracles.
Moses responds: "No Lord. If you won't go with us, I don't want to go." Moses knew that the presence of God is vital. Some people move in this realm of revelations of the presence of God- powerful anointed worship, gold dust appearing etc.
But Moses wasn't happy with this. He wanted to go deeper with God. He says "Show me your glory Lord" He wanted to know the very nature of God. He didn't just want the manifestations of God's presence, he wanted God Himself.
What's in your heart? Are you hungry to know God like that? Are you desperate for more than the manifestations of God's presence? For more than the gifts of the Holy Spirit?
Then pursue Him, seek Him, call to Him "Show me your glory Lord."
Blessings
