Don’t Be a Donkey and Waste Your Vote- Gordon Moyes

Don’t Be a Donkey and Waste Your Vote GordonMoyes.com

Maybe 6% of the total number of electors on Saturday will be wasted. Like the frustrated voter who writes crude comments on their voting paper thereby making their vote informal, these other frustrated voters will give their vote to some independent without realising they are only a front person for a major party (usually the Labor Party) or else they will just vote for the first person on the list (a donkey vote is as useful as Russian Roulette.)

Those 6% of voters could achieve a postive outcome for the State simply by voting for the CDP (Fred Nile Group). We have good candidates in 57 lower house electorates and 21 in the Upper House.

If Morris Iemma achieves the resounding win the polls are predicting for Saturday, he will continue with Costa, Sartor and company but (according to Tory Maguire in the Daily Telegraph) will probably rid himself of Tripodi, because of the odorous incidents that have gathered around him; the under performing Diane Beamer, the Fair Trading Minister involved in the Orange Grove affair; Kerry Hickey, the hapless Local Government Minister who was caught speeding; Grant McBride, the Minister for Gaming and Racing, who’s never heard from, and possibly the Primary Industries Minister, Ian Macdonald.

He is fortunate in that he has some good backbenchers who could move into ministerial positions. If Peter Debnam wins, he hasn’t the luxury of having many people capable of being ministers who have had any experience in Government ministerial portfolios. He has some good backbenchers who have been in Parliament only four years (mostly women) but most of the rest are looking very old.

Whichever way the vote goes, NSW will lose unless there is a strong Upper House designed to use debate, strong questioning of ministers, accountability through the inquiry and committee system, and rigorous calling for secret Government papers to allow for transparency in Government dealings.

That where a [1] vote for every CDP candidate in the Upper and the Lower House will get the best results.

If we get Rev Fred Nile and Former Chief Inspector Gary Raymond elected, then together with myself, we will make a formidable team whichever party gains Government.

So vote CDP and don’t waste your vote or be a donkey! That 6% of electors, if they vote as I suggest, would make for the absolutely best Government.

REV THE HON. DR GORDON MOYES, A.C., M.L.C..
