We're Back! (Sort of)

You may have noticed our web-site has been down and if you have sent emails they may have bounced or come back with warnings.

Without going into too many details, the reason for this is that a fairly big internet wholesale service stopped operating last week. This left literally tens of thousands of people suddenly off the air. There has been lots of confusion in the internet service industry since then.

Our internet provider has now arranged for us to be connected to another broadband provider, but this will take up to another week to finalise.

In the mean time we have connected to the internet via a wireless link that Tim set up with James Tolson for gaming. That's worked out pretty well, but we have not had email. We have temporarily signed up for a dial up connection that gives us what's known as a static IP address which means that we can now operate our email server and our web page, albeit very slowly.

Anyway we are now getting email messages coming down the pipes to the new-life.org.au addresses. So life is slowly getting back to normal.

One thing we will have to do is temporarily remove access to our sermons page as our connection is way too slow for sending big files over. We will resume access to this when our broadband woes are rectified.

It's amazing how dependent we became on a fast internet connection!
