Better is a day in your house
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a door-keeper
in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
Father you make your home amongst men
you inhabit the hearts of women
Boys and girls, men and women
all who follow Jesus you inhabit and fill
A day spent with your people
refreshes my heart
and renews my strength.
There is nothing like the joy of worship
the power of your presence
What must it be like-
to be cut off from your Spirit
to live the living death of unbelief
I rejoice in your mercy God
I laugh with joy in your presence
Your Spirit brings life.
Your presence turns water into wine,
monochrome to living colour.
