Reflection on Psalm 5:1-8

Here I come again Lord
I lay my heart at your feet
You are my God and king
There is no other god

I try to follow your ways God
I know you won't hear the proud
That liars will not gain your ear.

In your love you forgive me
You let me come into the secret place
The place of intimate worship

I stand in awe of you Jesus
Divine Son of God
You left your throne
And died for me
Now you reign forever

I stand in awe of your majesty Father
You are perfect and holy
Beyond all blame and frailty
Angels praise your name
And so do I

Now Father, as I start my day
Let my words to others
The thoughts and desires of my heart
My deeds and actions
All speak highly of you.
