Reflection on Psalm 29

Like a summer storm
God rushes in
Lightning flashes
Thunder roars
And then there's the voice of God

Nations rage
People rail
Nothing stands
Before the voice of God

Droughts broken
Fires extinguished
Paddocks flooded
Roads ruined
all at the voice of God

I can't hear Him
sinners say
I can't see Him
Sceptics claim
Deaf to the voice of God

Read His word
Still your heart
Turn from sin
Obey the Lord
Follow Jesus
And you'll hear the voice of God.
