The Gaza Battle That is Not Reported

Melanie Phillips has written a brilliant article exposing the media lies about the current war in Gaza. It is clear that Israel's military restraint in the face of tremendous provocation is being ignored by the world's media.

The worst thing is the moral inversion, in which the murderous victimisation of innocent Israelis is ignored while their murderers are described as ‘civilians’ when they are finally killed by the Israelis -- who are demonstrably taking care to avoid civilian casualties wherever possible. Tragically, civilians always die in wars; and unfortunately there will undoubtedly be more civilian casualties in Gaza – along with deaths among Israeli troops -- as the war goes on. But the frenzied misrepresentations, double standards and moral inversion fuelling a hysteria in the west which in turn can only incite more genocidal violence are simply depraved.

  1. Very interesting article. I too would like to know why the main stream press has not shown Hamas to be what it truly is - a terrorist organization.

  2. Great article. Thanks for posting. It's pretty obvious that the press is not showing both sides of this and yes, Hamas has always been a terrorist organization and by their recent activities, it doesn't look as if anything has changed.

  3. It is interesting that any other country that defended itself against such terrorism, and showed such care to avoid civilian deaths would be lauded in the international community. It is a double standard that the media and the political leaders seem totally unaware of.

  4. Israel wants to affirm your territory as a nation with war, and authoritarianism, lost the privilege of people of God a long time, if there is a large part of the history of the people of God, has in the past, we have heard for decades in Israel and their problems with Palestinians and other nations, tiring!!!

  5. Keith, after reading your post, I have been looking and looking for a passage I was sure was in the Bible about all nations turning against Israel in the last days. I know Hal Lindsay spoke about it in his book, "The Late, Great Planet Earth" and I remember discussing it with my parents at one time. Am I remembering this incorrectly?

  6. I think it's in Revelation, but I would have to do some research to be sure.

  7. I thought so too, but my dad came up with Ezekiel 38; 39; Daniel 11:40-45; and Joel 2:20. I checked them out but didn't find the exact wording I was looking for. I'll keep looking!
