Reflection
The “gobblers” are all around us.
The email scammers who want to rip us off.
The corporate giants who use their power to generate obscene profits
The polluters who poison air and water with no thought of responsibility
The clothing manufacturers who oppress workers to save a dollar
The tyrants who torture and murder their opponents
The terrorists who invoke religion to justify hate.
We just cna't escape these people who live just for themselves.
The only way out is to live lives which point to a higher way- the values of the Kingdom like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and self-control.
I have to live like Jesus in everything I do and to trust Him to bring to justice those who insist on being cruel.
Prayer
Father there is much evil in the world. Help me to make a difference today standing up for what is right in all I choose to do. Give me eyes to see the oppressed and hands to help them. Amen.
