Apostolic Summit

We had a great time at the Apostolic Summit at Rockhampton.

The Summit was preceded by the annual "Sons' Retreat" a special time for John Alley's Sons in Ministry to spend some time seeking God together.

The Summit itself was probably the best of the three I've attended, at least it seemed that way to me.

It's hard to put a description on the Summit. There is good teaching and fellowship and worship. It's all good, but I think there is much more at work in the spirit realm than can be described just in the activity.

This year was dominated in some ways by a number of attacks on Apostle John's ministry by another false apostle. This was evident by the physical illness suffered by so many people associated with the Summit. Some of these illnesses were indeed bizarre and could only come in by a direct attack of satan.

I felt by about half way through the Summit that there was a definite change. It was like the enemy had been thoroughly defeated and we broke through to a new level of freedom and authority.

It was great also to have extra people from Narrabri. In the past it has been essentially Margaret and myself with Grant, but this year we were joined by Margaret & David Baxter and Evelyn. It really felt that consequently we are going to have a higher impact on our ministry here.

Some highlights:

1. Dr Sim taught very clearly on principles of financial freedom. It 's not as if we needed new teaching on this so much as boldness to take hold of the promises God has given us.

2. Dr David Juma, a young man from Kenya taught about the need to step out in faith NOW rather than waiting for something to happen. This man is another inspiration to me.

3. John Alley expounded more clearly than ever before on the father-son relationship, possibly because of the accusations being made against him by the "false apostle." John has been accused often of being manipulative and controlling, but nothing could be further from the truth. He explicitly said "There is no compulsion about this. I don't coerce people into relating to me. You are free to come in and walk with me, and you are free to go out again."

4. Michael Appleton shared a video presentation on their overseas missions. I felt again convicted that I need to go on a ministry trip to India. I have felt this before but have resisted it because of finances. But I saw that God had provided for David Juma to get from Kenya to Australia, so if the Lord wants me in India, He will provide what I need to get there. So, it looks like at some stage in the next 12 months I will be going to India. This is an entirely new area of faith for me

5. During the worship on Saturday morning, I had glimpses of a vision of New Life worshipping in a big shed like the one at Peace. They worship in what used to be an indoor sports centre. I saw a crowd of perhaps 200 people worshipping in a similar place, but God showed me specific people in the congregation.

So it was a great time. I believe God was at work in Rockhampton and that He is going to continue to bless us in Narrabri.

We are going to see some great miracles in the next year regarding people being saved and also in terms of financial freedom. We are going to see the provision of God multiply in the next 12 months.
