I haven't been inspired to take many photos lately :( ...
When we went to Rockhampton we were intrigued by this literal train wreck. About 20 empty coal wagons with varying extents of damage were lying beside the tracks.I did manage this one last week, some lovely cockatoos caught in a tree near the lake just on sunset.
Saturday was quite rainy. I tried to take photos of flowers with raindrops on them- as Philip would say, Epic Fail!
This pretty blue flower turned out OK though.
This morning was bitterly cold (-1 deg C) and foggy. Fog is reasonably uncommon in Narrabri and normally I do get excited about the opportunity to get out and about, but this morning was just too cold. I did drag myself out just before the fog lifted. The good thing about fog is that it offers a different perspective on the landscape- everything is softened by the low light, bright colours are accentuated and the fog removes a lot of the background clutter allowing the eye to focus on the foreground objects.
