Wonderful Day Off!

Autumn is about the best time of the year in Narrabri- although spring's pretty good also and winter's nice- yeah and apart from the odd stinker, summer's good. So Narrabri is the perfect place in the whole world to live.

Anyway, today was just a really nice day weather-wise- not too hot, just a hint of a breeze. I decided to go down to the river to enjoy the morning and take a few photos.

The river itself is just beautiful at the moment. These photos were taken in Cameron Park, looking down to the hospital grounds.

This tree was absolutely covered in blossom as fragrant as jasmine.

This little fellow eyed my activity with some apparent amusement

There were lots of dragon-flies darting around. They are very hard to take photos of as they don't like to pose. But I found one particular stick that they kept coming back to, so eventually it was just a matter of patience. Unfortunately the camera doesn't catch the electric iridescent glow.

This afternoon Alex found a discarded video camera and pretended to take photos with it. After I took a real photo of him we had to change places.

Finally we planted some bulbs for The Wedding. We are hoping that by September there will be a riot of flowery colours in millions of pots.

  1. Oh, my bad. They merged the colleges this year so it's now C3's Ministry Training College, Creative Arts stream. :P

  2. So Alex plays guitar, drums, sings, and now makes videos. Will he be at SCA in about 15 years? :P

  4. No, but they do acting and screen production... maybe he could end up on Guerilla Gardeners? :P
