Very sad, but true. I was talking to my daughter and complaining about everyone saying this new, "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas". She said that of course, she says Merry Christmas, but feels it's important to add, "and may Jesus be with you in this Christmas season".I really think we need to make a stand and bring Jesus into our Christmas greeting. Maybe it will make people stop and think about the reason we have Christmas.
I find it interesting that some of the non-christian religious leaders in Britain have made a statement telling people to not be afraid to celebrate Christmas. They make the point that this is a part of their culture and they should not feel ashamed of it. The Sikh guy was pretty cool. He said: "Send lots of Christmas cards to your friends. I'm going home to do that myself right now."
