Last night we celebrated three birthdays- Alex who turned 3, Josh who turned 16 and Michael who turned 18. :hat:

It was a disappointing night for photos. I took about 40 but only half turned out because the flash didn't fire every time... it looks like I have to take another look at the manual! On the other hand I did take a couple of videos and a sound recording- all without intending to!
James compared my camera to his and concluded that my $400 camera is a lot better value for money than his $2000 SLR! Maybe- but he can probably do a lot more in marginal conditions than I can and I usually think that in most situations it all comes down to skill and creativity as much as the actual equipment.
Tim of course had to outdo us both with his super-duper lens!
Oh, I know all about camera woes! Mine is nothing fancy, yet digital and I think I must have inadvertently changed a setting somehow.You won't be the only one with a manual out...LOL.Still, from the pics it looks like a good time was had by all!
ReplyDeleteYes, it was a good night! These cameras do so many things and if you press the wrong button inadvertently it changes something you diodn't even know it does!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! Echos of our life here!! We did the same a couple of weeks ago!!! My grandson turned 3, my son and his girlfriend both turned 32! We had a combined birthday at a park in Cape Coral. My son was the lucky one that got to wear the "SpongeBob" costume since he was the only one who could fit into it!! My camera woes were a little more embarassing. The still camera was fine, but the video camera had a large hood over the lens and there was a huge spiderweb in there that floats gently throughout all the video!!You know, I do take pride in keeping my house clean - I really don't know how I missed that!
ReplyDeleteLOL!! I can just imagine the shots with the webs! So everyone got to wear the Spiderman costumes! :)Some times of the year, spiders here will make webs between anything that stays still more than an hour. Sometimes I expect to wake up covered in webs :D
