Gordon was until recently the superintendent minister of Wesley Central Mission, one of Australia's biggest "mega-churches". He is a Christian Democratic member of the New South Wales Parliament. He hosts radio and TV shows, writes articles for numerous magazines, including "Egypt" which is an Arabic newspaper written for Muslims, but he gives a christian perspective on events in the Middle East.

For a man of so many achievements, Gordon is a straight-forward, humble kind of man.
The attendance was somewhat disappointing with less than 20 people, but it seems to be the average for this kind of meeting- Moree only had a few more the previous evening. We could probably blame the school holidays, public holiday, absolutely splendid autumn weather or whatever... but I put it all down to a disappointing level of apathy amongst christian leaders. Maybe it's a fear of rocking the boat and upsetting people about politics.

Gordon said that he will try to get some action on the Narrabri and Mona Vale hospitals. He was also responsive to concerns about the number of teaching staff in our High School. It's great to see that the interests of our CDP members go far beyond what is normally described as "christian issues."
