A Reflection on “Nosh on the Namoi”

We went to Nosh on the Namoi looking for signs of the Kingdom of God.

What did we find?

We found an event that was open to everyone.

We found food that was abundant. Some was free. Some was inexpensive. Some was more expensive... but nobody was left out for lack of money.

We heard joyful music.

We saw children amused by a boy dressed as a purple koala.

We saw people from all kinds of backgrounds having fun together.

We saw families, young people, old people.

There was no crime, no anger, no pushiness.

We saw people using their gifts and resources to serve others.

We had lunch together in a pleasant place.

These are all signs of the presence of God's kingdom.

God truly was present at “Nosh on the Namoi”- even if nobody noticed.
