XKCD come up with the funniest comics sometimes and, well they have to be quite a bit twisted in the head. I mean who would think of doing research into "frequency with which various adjectives are intensified with obscenities" then graph them on a logarithmic scale? I think they cheated though because I thought who would actually use the phrase "f---ing jejune" and yes there are gazillions of hits in Google on that phrase, but it counts as a hit if both words occur on a page. Go to advanced search to select "match exact phrase" and it drops to a few pages, and several of those hits are comments on the comic.
